Default Ref Station question????HELP!!!!

i live in kali and as everyone knows it is strict as hell out here. I've checked alot of posts concerning the refs, but i'm still wondering about something. i know that JDM is okay supposedly this year (2002) as long as its the same year or higher and all smog equipment is on from that car. Here is my question, I have a 2000 HB with a JDM 94 B16 and from what i can tell only the head has a year stamped on it and not the block therefore if the JDM block #s arent available in kali then the refs cannot know what year engine you have from the block #s, but can only tell the year from the year stamped on the head. My question is if i switch heads to say a 2000 B16a2 or a 2000 B18c5 wouldnt they concider it a 2000 since the head would be stamped (00) instead of my (94) right now? Any info would be appricated, also stories of thoses who have passed with a JDM motor.

I just got my state ref BAR sticker on my 93hb with 94usdm gsr. They look at the block, not the head.

So i suppose theres no need to change the head. What if i swap the my 94 JDM block for a USDM 2000 one...think that will work since the ref will run the USDM 2000 block # through the database and see that its 2000 and USDM?

Hey, bluesaint
Does the ref asked you for any-kind of receipt for the engine?

Well I have a jdm motor, and I know I'm not in Cali, but they didn't even check it out really.. They just had me pop the hood and that was that. Made sure it looked clean, that's about it.

Check out this thread of mine ; I just went to emissions testing last week or so ago..

This is what happened.
