Default Is this a real JDM ITR block ?

Hey I got this block in today from a member in the marketplace. A couple things are sketching me out about it. The stamp looks off and it says P72 on the back of the block. Here's some pictures.

I also only bought the short block with no internals so I can't look to the head of anything for authenticity.

Help me out , any support is much appreciated !

If there's no internal then it don't matter, gsr, itr, and ctr all use a p72 block, there's nothing different or special about them.

Thanks. I was just sketched out because if you look at the first picture the stamp is off centered, and there's no serial number below it. It just doesn't look right, especially compared to my blown JDM ITR block that this one is replacing

the stamp being off center is normal, the numbers under it missing are not.

That's the first thing I noticed when I just compared this to my blown JDM type r. So what could this mean? This could just be any b series block restamped? My blown JDM ITR block has the numbers below the "b18c" (which I'm guessing is the serial number?) and also the stamped area is flat across and feels a little rough. The stamp on the block shown in the picture feels smooth across it and has dips in it. As in when I run my finger over its not flat across.

This leads me to believe it was grinded down and restamped or something like that.

How can I identify which block this is? It has the P72 as shown in the picture but I think that's also on GSR blocks and others.

Please help guys, and thanks a lot for your input thus far.

Would also like to mention this was purchased from the HT Marketplace. Can't find a honest person anywhere these days :/

there is no physical difference between a type r block and gsr block.

i'm more worried about it being stolen at some point, as that is the only reason to grind off the numbers.
