Questions about a k swap into my del sol
what are my options for mounts, harness, header, and axles to swap a k engine into my 93 del sol. Is hasport the only company that makes all this or can i find it cheaper somewhere else, i wanted to do this swap to my car but the parts to make it work are killing my wallet.

Dude you realize you're going to be spending at least 8 grand right...
you can get fab done for about 1500$.. custom k20 headers, brackets... hasport mounts, fab/hasport/mmrusa shift linkage and stretching connections is all youll have to worry about.
this is a timley and aggrivating install if you don't know what you are doing.
I thought about it... i'm going to run my little d series into the ground.. then we'll see what happens. Just all the more time to save cash..
BTW.. the rsx axels should match right up.. my boi did this swap into an 95hb nicely

Re: Questions about a k swap into my del sol (PurpleEKHatch)
fab is the way to go... custom, bolt on, mandrel bent, k20 to civic headers will improve low, mid and high powerband pull. The brackets are for your a/c and radiator. More so is if you had a KOYO or PWR radiator which is 2x thicker than other 1/2 size radiators. These brackets reposition your components so you dont have to sacrifice keeping a/c and engine cooling.
The shift linkage doesn't quite match up.. fabbing something is as simple as chopping or lengthening the rod to reach your shifter/tranny and replacing some bushings/+bearings
DIY is the foundation for H-T.. common people a little support please!!

why do some people tell me im going to lose a/c and power steering while ive seen pictures of people with power steering. Another thing im confused about is that some people move the radiator over to the drivers side while some keep it on the passengers side...

You have no idea WTF ur talking about...wat "fab" . YOu can use a RMF or DTR header which is over 600. Kpro is 1000...no use getting anything else.
there is no linkage...its shifter cables.
hasport mounts are 500+
motor is at least 3000+ with out trans depending on the k u get
new radiator
hoses
fuel lines
PNP harness
fuel pressure regulator
custom clutch line
throttle cable
its over 8000 unless u make most of tEh **** urself

heres another question ...
i took off the complete harness from the rsx..when ill be swapping it in do i need to use the complete harness or am i going to have to seperate some/most of it..also if i swap everything over from the rsx how come you cant use the stock ecu..is it because the immobilizer? isnt it possible to basically swap over everything from the rsx and use the stock ecu.

Re: (jdmvic)
If your using a conversion harness you will only need the engine and charging harness from the RSX chassis.
If you swap everything from the RSX chassis including the fuse box's and immobilizer system you can use the stock ecu.
I would recommend purchasing a conversion harness and either a Type R ecu or a Kpro.

Re: (hybrid racing)
My project took me awhile to do. Not so much the big item stuff(dropping motor in/wiring), but it was actually the smaller stuff which took awhile. Big props out to Will at Hybrid Racing though, excellent customer service

foolish haters... suk it
linkage/cables.... shuv it... I was hoping you knew what I meant. Just speaking in generalities to save myself the aggrivation of typin more than i needed to.
Since I don't spell check or look over most posts b4 posting I made careless mistakes. I sincerly appologize to all.
I should have added a clause to the last post.. all dicks please don't add ne thing unless you have something poistive to say.
You can use factory 1/4 rad... mounted on driver or passenger. Its just my prefrence to run a full race rad when I do mine.
Try calling up local auto shops to recommend a fab dude close to you. I was quoted 250-300$ for a mandrel bent/ factory imitation flange/ tig welded header/stainless steel
Hasport offers up mounts/headers/linkage and pretty much all you need.
That is the expensive way.
Again DIY is the foundation of HT/ // I have a shop capabilities the equivalent of mugen ltd's or spoons. Another clean multimillion$ facility at my finger tips for free.
25stalls 10lifts/arch/tig welding/paintbooths/diagnostic/dyno/skid-drift pad... not everyone has this advantage and I tend to forget how fortunate I am sometimes.
