Default Question about B16 and B18

This may sound kind of dumb. But I wanted to ask you H-T members before I go about doing something. I have searched and found sketchy answers.

Okay here is my situation.

I have a B16 complete swap in my EG, but then the B16 motor blew. After saving up for a B18C long block. Could I just swap this long block directly in.. using the B16 tranny, and the other parts I had on my B16 such as Findanza Flywheel, ACT stage 1 organic clutch. Remember I will just be taking out the B16 and placing the b18C motor in place of it, not changing anything else, including the ECU... Will this work just fine? or will I have to do something else to get the B18C running healthy?

Any comments welcome.. Good or bad (flame suite on hehe)

Thx all..

Yes

If it's a GSR spec B18C then you will need to change to a Skunk2 or similar single runner manifold if you continue using the B16 ECU, everything else you have will work. Your other choice would be to get a P72 GSR ECU, both options would be near the same cost but I personally think the manifold would be a better choice. Now if it's an ITR spec B18C then you will not need to change the manifold/ECU.
