Default Question #1 - accelerator cable removal.

Well, as the topic says, how do I disconnect the Accelerator cable from the pedal itself - it seems held in by a clip of some sorts (I'm replacing it w/ a GS-R counterpart), thanks.

Default Re: Question #1 - accelerator cable removal. (SKiLLz-R)

i just finished my swap. wat u need to do is work from the inside out....to take off the cable u'll need to get the spring that's hooked to the top part of the pedal assembly to the a connection at the floor.....after that u'll need to disasemble the end link of the cable from the top of the pedal assembly......after that go back to the engine bay and and locate the throttle cable on the firewall....there will be a plastic clip that u can twist off...that gets rid of the old canble. now for the new cable...all u have to do is the opposite...but also u'll realize that the cable rounds of from the left, and not the right side of the engine.....i believe this application is for a civic?,.....any more "?" jus post'em
