Project Auto GS-R
Well, i have to sell my delsol in order to get my sister a car she can drive....automatic. Looks like its going to be a 94 teg LS auto.
Well, i need vtec...so: Could a GSR long block be swapped in. I was thinking just bolt the LS flexplate to the gsr block and then bolt on the tranny. Wire vtec utilizing an RPM switch or a VAFC. Then, possibly chip the ECU to shift higher and maybe even run vtec. This sound possible and within reason? Jesus time without vtec sucks.

Re: Project Auto GS-R (Nikos)
She chose not to, i taught her when she was 13. Also, the delsol has a ACT XT pp w/ 6 puck unsprung disk (aka, as stiff as a cobra clutch in a mustang) Shed need both feet to get the pedal down so i couldnt even give her my car. Also, i think learning on an automatic is a good expiernce for new drivers because it eliminates a major varaible. That being said, ill never personally own an automatic again.

my friends wife drives his accord with the xtr6 clutch in it, yeah she spins it at times....
anyway if you are set on getting an auto, jsut get an auto p72 ecu and leave it at that!

Re: Project Auto GS-R (POS Hatchback)
unfortunatly, until i pay off this yellow shitbox next to my delsol, it sits in my garage so sharing a car with sis is the only practical option.

Re: Project Auto GS-R (monicle)
The delsol is mine....totatly.
The s2000 is a lil more then half mine, im still paying it off, bank loan. But it gets driven rarely since i wanna keep it mint.
Selling the delsol to get my sis a car.......the price of having your mom co-sign a loan for you. Its just how it worked out.

Re: Project Auto GS-R (Nextekhatch)
if i was you, i'd save my money and work on paying off the s2k... you don't want to be in the same situation you're in now a few years down the line with your mint condition s2k that's nearly paid off. You don't wanna end up thinking, why did i insist on automatic vtec powa y0?

Re: Project Auto GS-R (Nextekhatch)
You might want to reconsider an auto gsr. Automatics and small high revving 4 cylinders dont match very well. For example, my second car was a automatic Celica GT-S. With a 6-speed and an intake and exhaust high 14's are commen. My best time was a 16.6 with the same mods. Automatic GT's only run a few tenths slower. If you want it to be automatic I would just stick with an ls motor.

if u already have an S2000 why mod the integ.. just leave it stock. if anything.. if u need a speed/vtec fix.. just take the s2k out for a spin

Re: Project Auto GS-R (Downey)
Well, im always doing swaps on the side so a GSR longblock is very easy to come across for cheap. I dunno, this might just be a pipe dream. Well see i guess

I love girl racer ...but hey, if you are going to give it to your sister, why don't you get the ls longblock (cheaper). Why waste a good gsr motor when it is for your sister and she is just learning how to drive .
