Default prelude B20 ?

okay, right now i can get a b20 motor for $150 to rebuild, i know it is not interchangable with all the other B's. I have seen some people on the board say they are crap but nobody has said why. I have heard the are CLOSED DECK. I plan to turbo it and swap into a 98 HX. I am aware of the OBD issues. I just want to know what the problem with these motors are? One of my teachers who was a honda master tech for 8 years and recived factory training said with arp rod bolts and a head stud conversion one could take a bar of boost reliably.

From the standpoint of swapping, the BIGGEST problem with this motor is that there is no easy way to get it into your car. It won't bolt in. And there is no mount kit available to make the motor bolt in. We are talking custom fabrication here. And for a motor that has such a low power output and rod ratio, it is just not worth the trouble.

Also, $150 for a rebuildable core is not the greatest deal for even an LS motor (which, by the way is MUCH better than the B20A). But for a B20A, $150 for a rebuildable core is a straight-out ripoff. Here in CA, you can get an LS motor for less than this.
