PR3 ECU problem
i've had my PR3 chipped for years now with a mugen chip and just recently i've decided to switch back to a stock program to see if it might cure my part-throttle knock.
i've now tried my stock ECU chip AND a stock programmed chip (because i have a socket) and both of them give me a code for an ECU problem (solid non-blinking LED).
any ideas or suggestions? could my ECU be bad? just bad chips?
thanks

Re: PR3 ECU problem (sleeper4dr)
its possible that static has damaged the chips or you inserted tehm wrong way
another problem could be that when installing the chip you push on the board damaging something in the process

Re: PR3 ECU problem (eg6ajk)
i made sure i was installing the chips the correct way.
and the thing is that i can ALWAYS drop my mugen chip back in and the ECU always works. but if i try the chip with the stock PR3 program, i get the solid LED.
today i even went over the solder points for my socket and it resulted in no change. PR3 stock does not work. MUGEN does.
