Default Possible Ls-Vtec setup

I am beginning to lean toward this setup:

-ls block= itr pistons/rods, stcok crank,
-B16 head= skunk2 stage2 cams, itr springs with portflow inners\retainers and
good header
-Tranny= Si
I will also be getting the oil lines from The Whipfactory (Superdave726 aim)
Anything else I should consider? Looking for something to have fun with but it will be my daily driver.
Not too sure about the stage 2 cams but, any other opinions will be greatly appreciated.

BTW: it's going into a 94 coupe
Thanks guys
Jon

gsr head will have more compression. don't forget a type R oil pump and you'll have to get a knock sensor tapped in unless it is grounded out or your ecu is chipped/programmed not to use it.

You cannot use "R" rods on an LS crank.

Your gonna want to use the LS stock rods, just get them shot peened, and arp rod bolts. You will also need to shave 1mm off of them to fit the ITR pistons properly!

click this link, about half way down is a copy off of TeamIntegra.net about a guy fully experience with this setup, highlights advantages and disadvantages and parts and a whole lotta ****.
overall it seems if a reputable shop doesnt do it, it seems iffy. also in that article they discuss machine work that has to be done that even i was unaware of, such as redrilling holes for the dowel pins cause the VTEC and LS heads and blocks dont line up, and that includes both oil and coolant passageways. It can be a decent setup if done right, but as that article discusses, its not in the least so much the parts u use, but who does the installation and preparation, and how much money you are willing to spend. i figured id throw in some "useful" and unprejudice info in here. either way, money is money, and will eventually end up in any of our motors anyway. good times

you want opinions? Get CTR/ITR cams, which will probably make the most power with your setup because you wont want to be revving to oblivion. Get hondata and get it tuned.

get forged internals and balance the bottem end, run 12:1 compression with the stage 2 cams, and yourmotor will have the potential to be right there with the gsr turbo guys, if not in front. all motor is the way to go!!
