Possible broken engine mount??????????? b16a CRX
Ive noticed within the past week or two that when i shift it sometimes make a clank noise.....ive also noticed during idle my car is making a clanking noise and shaking kinda bad.....The sound appears to be coming from the rear of the engine compartment. Is this an obvious sign of a broken rear engine mount, or possibly something else? Car is idling around 750 RPMS

i had a 91 hatch and it had the same exact problem, my tranny motor mount broke. had to take the whole engine out and have it welded back on. pita but was sooo much better afterwards

I lifted the car and checked my tranny mount. It appears the bushing is cracked right in half. Would a cracked bushing be causing all my problems.. Its going to be hell replacing that. I have a lifetime warrenty on it, but its going to have to sit in a garage while i send them the mount and they send me back a new one.
Its not a rod, the sound isnt coming directly from the engine itself, and it drives perfectly while in motion.
