How much for the pistons and rods? ?Were they in working condition when pulled out? Why you take them out? My friend has a bare block he is willing to give to me if I go that route . wouldn't I be safer buying a complete b18c1?

Yea still in workin order pulled it out cause I went with high compression pistons. The pistons and rods plus shippin ill do $80 with shippin.

It is safer for a complete engine if ur willing to spend a couple grand.
If u rebuild it it'll be under $800 or more

It'll fit, everything same except the type r head has a better valve train and the head flows better

U can use a gsr block or type r block to keep it simple. Unless u want to do a ls-v or b20v but its a lot more money and work. Personally I would go with a type r block with type r internals, but if ur on a budget I'd go with the gsr block. Any those two block will b a good choice for ur b16 head.

The difference between a gsr block and type r block is the the type r internals are lighter than the gsr internals correct me if I'm wrong anybody.

Not sure what machine shop is good over ther in Cali. Just check around and see. Ask to check the block for cracks and hone and pressure wash and u should b good to go. Make sure the the cylinders haven't been bore cause te pistons I have are stock 81mm pistons
