I just have purchased a B18c5 front cut of a DC2 Honda Integra chassis. its a left hand with Intake, coilovers and all. This front cut includes Front seats too that means its almost a full car :D (rear part is not included)
guys i need suggestion here. I can get a Civic(EG or EK) or a integra (DA or DB8). what do u guys recommend to put this engine into?? for Civic i will look for a Hatch. I just need to know if i need to change mounts if im putting this engine in a EG or EK?? i guess all the mounts will remain same all i have to do is to take the engine out from that DC2 chassis and put it in the EG/EK.
i Just need confirmation about what chages to make.

EG/EK will be the easiest to swap everything over too....if you go ek, all the rubber bushings are that much newer!!

i wouldn't put that swap into a DA 1990-1993 integra chasis...engine bay is too small real pita if you ask me...

Mounts...if you put the engine into an EG/dc2/db8 chasis you'll use that mounts that came with the front clip
if you use an EK chasis then you'll have to get a 99-2000 SI Civic driverside upper bracket that attaches to the engine via 3 14mm bolts....you'll have to get the rear tranny bracket (the T looking one) you'll use the D series tranny mount and you'll use the EK lower Torque mounts (the U shaped ones that attach to the frame) and you'll use the DC (front clip) lower brackets AC and Tranny.

EK you'll need a b series obd2aorb wireharness depending on chasis....eg just swap harness over and add needed wires....you'll need a chipped obd1 ecu.

 

i hope your planning on tearing that motor down to at least replace the seals, timing belt, water pump etc. that motor looks pretty beat, and the timing belt is falling off the gears

who cares for VIN if ur going for a swap, so i did not looked or noticed it.

I wasn't concerned with it being a real Type-R, I was concerned with there being a USDM Type-R front clip that you bought without VINs... Does that not throw a "Theft" red flag in your mind?

It's a front clip, the VIN's on at least 4 other items on the front of the car, one of which is pressed into the metal. Check the fenders and hood (They're decals), and check the firewall near the battery location, the VIN is pressed into the metal. If it's missing the VIN from all of these locations, my guess would be it's stolen, and you're in possession of stolen property.

i have not check the VIN yet , as mentioned a million times earlier. I have not noted down the VIN neither i have any pics for it.
ohh ok! i've dropped this front cut cuz this was with 4lugs and all and i wanted to have something newer so ill search for something else now :D
