Please help me confirm this.
My 93 eg hatch currently has a b20 in it. I need to make it legal to drive daily. Will a b18b motor be a legal swap if the motor is clean. I have a local connection to get one of these motors and just want to make sure this car will be legal after I spend the money. I did refer to the sticky regarding possible swaps in the civic 92-2000 section and it didn't mention the legality regarding this engine. The motor would be a 94 so it is newer than the car. Is it possible to just replace the long block without removal of the transmission (gsr tranny) because this would make it go much faster for me because this the the first front wheel car I have owned. I have done multiple 22re motor swaps on my toyota pickup easily. And after the swap is done, will I need to make an appointment with a ref to determine if the car is proper. Thanks, Mike.
