How was the motor? did you ship it/pick it up? Any problems other than the scratched valve cover

Re: Pictures of my B16A swap from Osaka (SlippylesKB)
I just got a B16A SIR II with LSD
$227.00 shipping to Dallas, TX.
$1950.00 for engine including import tax
$200.00 LSD
Paid by wire transfer.
Engine did not start at first.....Distributor was bad. Mark FEDEX'd a replacement.
Put it on and it started right up. Sounds great, very quiet.
I will give you driving impressions soon. I am waiting on another part, (trans mount) should arrive in a day or so.

What all came with your swap (or didn't)? JW because I was missing a few things (and I'm going off the list that my swap should included).

hey where did you get your motor from?. And another general question is how the hell do the shipping companyies get the motors off the truck when they deliver them?.
"tommy lift" on the truck! When the shiping place calls you. Tell them you need a truck with one !!!! so my can reseave it. I work in heavy height at FEDEX we got alot them, most of the truck lines have one or to!

Re: Pictures of my B16A swap from Osaka (inline4hatch)
I had to get shift linkages and bushing, axles, a throttle cable mount to make my cable fit, AC bracket, radiator hoses, fluids, plugs and hose clamps and such.
That's about it.
I'll probably need tires pretty soon...

Well I am up and running. DOHC VTEC rules! My car is fast. The engine is smooth, quite, and pulls hard. If I want the feel of my SOHC D16 I just stay below 5K. I am also amazed at how much difference the LSD makes. No more variable traction, it just pulls through the corner. Nice. Long story short, I am a very happy man. to OSAKA for the quality product.

Good to hear. I hope mine turns out ok. So far it looks like it will be good, but I still have not yet put the motor in the car and start it. I will have to get a few more parts and I'm overworked at work so it maybe close to a month. I will let everyone know how it turns out. Looks like I have the same set up as you only in the form of a h22a. I'm glad i opted for the LSD.

So I take it as Osaka is a good company? I've heard mixed reviews about them. Sounds like the guy that runs it is a good guy.

That's power steering fluid not oil thankfully. Mark took good care of me. Engine was complete with harness and ecu.
