Paper work for motor?
Been looking into buying a motor for quite some time now. Might have found a few, gonna check them out asap. Just wondering what kind of legit paper work I would need? I've never purchased a motor so it's like if the person gave me bs paper work how would I know? Is there any specific kinda of paper work that would qualify as proof of purchase? None of the motors I'm cheacking out are from shops, all personal so yea, don't wanna get screwed especially when I'm forking out that much money.

Just make sure to get a signed bill of sale - stating the price you paid, what motor it is (type, year, etc.), the VIN # from the car it came out (if possible) and any other ways that you could document it.

Yeah... Ill probably do that. THe guy doesnt have paper work. He says I can get the VIN and call CHP and if it's not reported stolen I shouldn't have a problem. But either wayI think I'll need some sort of proof of purchase cuz you know how cops are....especially in my area.
