older JDM swaps ?
the reason why I am asking is because I am getting ready to order my engine swap and the company im getting it from says that at this time all they have is 1994 1995 engines so I was just curious as to what kind of quality/ condition, and mileage to expect out of a motor of that kind of age. I just dont want a motor thats gonna have like 100k on it and is gonna start breaking down once i start moding it and racin. what are you guys experience with older JDM motors. This swap will be going into a 1999 Civic EX

They are not going to have that many miles on them, they will be sitting in a junkyard for a long period of time. Imports usually do a compression test on the motor before they buy it (I said usually). What motor you getting BTW?

I bought a 93 h22a...rumored to be one of the fastest h22a's produced. It started right up...even after the harsh swap and wiring harness crap it went through. I believe it had something like 36k on it.
Got it from Steve at HM. Online
