Default Old school engine swap will it work?

I was wondering if i could swap engines out my cousin just recently bought his b18c1 for his 95 civic and hes giving me his b18b. I have a 1990 honda civic DX I was wondering if i could fit it in there.. I know i will have to do alot of modifying.. but is it going to be worth it.. I already have a b16b ready at my uncles shop.. but i was just wondering would i rather have a LS Vtec or a SI engine in.. which one would be better.. I know that the SI engine would be alot easier to install but i want the LS Vtec. I'm wondering if it would be a pain in the *** to put in? comments plz

so you have a LS motor and a CTR motor...I would chose the CTR because it is just plain better....but you have a cable chassis and those come with hydro trans's so you can get a kit from Hasport and you could do it...

B16B is actually a civic type R engine. Go with that.

Are you sure you have a b16b and not a b16a there is a pretty big difference and is a usdm motor or jdm? what does the block code read?
