Default oil pump replacement

I am looking to replace JDM 1st Gen B16. I was intially under the impressison that all B series are the same pump. Then I read that there are difference between OBD I and OBD II. So the question is, what should I use? a B17 pump? or 94 B16 pump from a Sol?

thanks,
-S
