Default OH CRAP!!!

my engine is a 99 b18b but the ECU i have is in an ACD format( 96-98). Am i screwed here or what? i just ordered a 99-00 EX wiring harness too. what can i do to make this work? or am i going to need the 99 LS ECU?HEEEELLLPPP

What car is this going into? That would basically be the determining factor as to which ECU would be easiest to use. Why did you buy a 99-00 EX harness since you are installing a B18B nonVTEC motor? You could just as easily use your stock harness.

well i bought the ex harness cux the 99-01 engines have the harness pinned differently than 96-98's. my car is a 97 civic.

You NEED to use your stock 97 engine harness or basically any 96-98 harness. The 99-00 harness will not work with your chassis. You should be able to use the 99 LS ECU. The Integra's never changed their plug style to OBD2B until the 00-01 models.

but that the thing though. the ECU i have now looks like the ones in 96-98, where the second harness is empty. unless someone can correct me on this.

That's what I'm saying, the 99 LS ECU has the same plug style like the 96-98 Civic so it will plug into your factory 97 Civic harness. It will make the swap almost plug and play, I'm not seeing the issue here???
