96-98 ex harness help
quick rundown:
i have 97 y7. mini me swap 99-00 y8 head and intake mani.
have the 99-00 ex harness and p2p ecu.
the ex harness i have was cut missing both o2 sensors and the dizzy is a diff plug. iacv is 3plug instead of 2. i dont wanna cut the harness cause i might **** up.
so i was offered a 96-98 ex harness. if i use the 96-98 ex harness, will everything plug in better? (dizzy, iacv, vtec) then im deciding on a p28 ecu with the obd2a ->obd1 jumper harness.
wanted to know if that 96-98 ex harness will work easier? pls help!

Re: 96-98 ex harness help
every swap i have done, i have used the harness from the car because the engine harness in your car has provisions for both 02 sensors. the ex harness wont have both 02's in the engine harness. the ex harness has the other as part of the chassis harness.
use your y7 harness, convert it to a 2 wire iac. search for that it will tell you how to do it, search for 2 wire CKF (crank fluctuation) conversion, its there also, (basically it is just matching the 2 wires color for color and terminating the third.) and add, vtec spool, pressure, and knock. you will have to lengthen a few wires, but it isnt that bad.
the 99-00 harness wont work with your car as the chassis harness is different.
