Default OBD2B to OBD2A repin help

Hi I'm fitting a H22A2 with a B18 gearbox into my EK4 VTI facelift shell and I'm hitting some issues with the wiring currently.

The current setup is as follows:

Engine loom: OBD2A (With adaptions for the H22 to work)
Dashloom: OBD2B (Standard facelift EK dashloom)
ECU: P28 with Rywire OBD1 > OBD2 adapter

Because my dash loom is OBD2B I have both a green and grey plug coming from the dashboard, the green plug connects straight to the engine harness but the grey one has no place as it would usually go into the OBD2B engine ecu.

I was wondering if anyone has a guide on how I can move the pins from that grey plug into the green plug and make this all work, I know I can swap the dashboard loom for a pre facelift but its a bit of a pain to find one currently it seems so looking at other options if possible.

The Dog wags the Tail... the Tail doesn't wag the Dog. You are trying to do this all wrong (the really hard way)... you need to get an OBD-2B Civic engine harness that plugs into your dash/chassis harness and your OBD-2B -> OBD-1 adapter harness. Modify this engine harness to fit your H22A2 with the adaptations needed.

I understand that to a degree, I picked up this shell and the swap kit as a project in pieces and its mostly there minus this really plus there is already a OBD2A > OBD1 rywire adapter here.

So pretty much my only choices are:
  1. Buy OBD2B engine harness, OBD2B > OBD1 adapter
  2. Buy OBD2A Dash loom if i can find one
I just thought if the dash looms are so interchangeable then a repin would be easy and I'm not fussed by electrics like that really.

Look, you can do it your way... I am just trying to save you a boat-load of time and aggravation. I suggest you Google the ECU wiring schematics for a '96-98 Civic and a '99-00 Civic and see how they compare BEFORE you start cutting. You will find that a **** ton is different.

I mean, what's it gonna cost to do it the clean/right way ??? $300 or less I bet.

Adapter looms suck. So here's a better idea:

Buy a new engine loom from your preferred harness builder. Spec it for your H22, mated to your OBD2B chassis, with OBD1 ecu connectors. Sell all of the other crap. End up with a new loom instead of some 20-22 year old haunted house and not have to worry about adapters.
