OBD2 to OBD1 question
I'm in the process of getting a B18C-R swap into my 00 civic si using my stock harness. I was told by HMO when I ordered that I'll need a OBD2B to OBD2A harness. Would it be beneficial (since I have to spring for a harness) to get the OBD2B to OBD1 connector and pick up a chipped P28 ECU? What would you recommend?

Re: OBD2 to OBD1 question (nolimits)
yep i am in you same situation except im buying a 1995 B18c Gsr. Since we both have 1999 Civics, I was advised to just buy a skunk2 harness and convert the car to OBD1 making it easier. The reason they said this was because that convert obd2b to obd2 often causes problems with the check engine light. Plus as you said OBD1 is good for chipped ECUs.

I would recomend not purchasing a Skunk2 harness. Way overprice, and too many bad harnesses come from that company.
