Default Obd1 jdm GSR ecu

This will be probably one of the few DUMB questions i ask here, but i have to ask it. My JDM GSR is going in my 93 hatch back dx next week and I was just wondering if I need to modify the ecu in any way or will it plug an play? Im using the gsr wiring harness and wiring vtec along with a few other wires, but i was unsure about this because i have heard so many different stories with chipped ecu's etc...
Thanks
