Default obd0 to obd1

hey guys. i was arguring with this one guy today. i told him that in order to put his b18a setup in his obd1 civic he would need to change the ecu, dizzy, injectors in order to work. He says that he would also need to buy and obd0 -obd1 conversion. I was like WHY when you switch the plugs already to match the harness?!?! I have never personally seen a conversion kit that he talked about, but i do not think that it is needed. What do you wiring expert think? Thanks

You are right about changing stuff. You need a OBD1 -> OBD0 if you use a OBD0 ECU. And he would need to get the right motor mounts too.

If the car is already OBD1 why not just upgrade the motor to OBD1,
Instead of downgrading the cars wiring to OBD0. Sounds like a backward
step. And alot more work. Then, he wouldn't need the conversion harness. Yes, I think you are correct and he is wrong. Can anyone confirm? katman? blown90hatch?
