OBD I wiring in a EF!!!!
Theres a wrecked EG 93 LX in my garage. I drive a 91 STD. I was thinking of taking that motor and puting it in my car. I would get 30 HP, MPFI and OBD I wiring. What would be the easisest way to wire this motor up? REuse my OBD 0 harness from the old D15 and just run a couple extra wires to the ECU? I already have a grey plug. How many wires would i have to run? What about the VSS sensor versus speedo cable? And what can i do on the OBD I dizzy? I want to reuse it but the plugs are different.

Dont waste ur time with that engine. I think thats why no one is helping you out.
Just do a mpfi swap first. Then that would open up the doors for endless mods.
But theres plenty of these topics in the archive search.
Good Luck

That's a lot of work for only swapping in a 1.5L nonVTEC motor. Most people convert to OBD1 in the EF's when going with B series motors and more high performance oriented setups due to the tuning benefits of OBD1. If I were you, I would only swap this if you feel like putting a little $ into it. I definitely wouldn't be using that 4spd tranny and the hydro LX isn't an option unless you want to make some custom mounts and convert to hydro. You'd be better off just sticking with OBD0 and doing the MPFI swap in my opinion. There will be a less wiring and hassles.

Re: OBD I wiring in a EF!!!! (VTECVillain)
(same guy different name) But i already have all the parts i need, if i were to convert my worthless 2 valve motor to MPFI id have to spend money on an ECU i owuldnt b keeping for long anyways. This swap would make things alot easier for when i save up for a OBDI B series or H series motor. I could have it all prewired right now, and later on it would be plug and play. I dont see how this would be aLOT of wiring, just 4-5 extra wires id have to run, and a reworked Distributor plug.
