noise coming from inner CV joint
new alxes. a 1990 civic SI with b16 swap. using hasport billet aluminum mounts and 90-91 teg alxes with 90-91 teg int. shaft.i had this problem with my other axles, i repalced them. problem is coming back on these i need to know what coul cause the inner CV joint to wear. im stumped.
light noise on accel, no noise when the clutch is out. kinda like a grinding noise, but not really. just sounds like metal rubbing on metal
grinding noise metal on metal doesn't sound like a problem with axles.
is the noise on the driver side or the passenger and are you sure it's coming from the axles?
just a hence, but at all possible do you think it's around the brakes??
sounds like a problem besides axles if you are having the same noise before the swap and after the swap, especially with new axles.

the noise comes from around the diff, or the right floorboard. i got new axles, the noise went away for about 50-100 miles and came back again. thats the only reason i think its the axles.
the brakes are all new, jut got htem done. noise sit eh same. this is the odd part. i lowered the car with GC's and they sent me the wrong springs
so they are like 50 lb/in spring and its riding on bumpstops now. and the noise is stil there.
