new engine GSR pics
well this is my story
I bough this engine b18 c1 like 3 weeks ago for the amount of 1.000 my friend said it was blow and I need to replace pistons ,tomorrow`I 'am going to pick up new JDM ITR pistons that I will replace . I dont know much about engine but I took some pics so u guys see what I got my *** on
doest the pistons need to be replaced becuase they dont look too bad

those are REALLY bad pics and i cant tell anything other than that it looks like an engine. find a better camera and take some better and CLOSER pics. to be able to diagnose something over the internet it helps having a clear view

You're probably better off replacing them, your #1 and #4 pistons look pretty cooked. If you're buying pistons, why would you ask that?

If the pistons are in good shape they should be fine. As long as you dont see cracks, melted, holes, gouges. etc. Look them over really good, clean them up, and go for it.

looks like there is alot of oil on the domes, probly got some bad blowby. Your going to need to have it honed at a minimum, i would suggest getting a .25 over bore and some jdm ITR, or CTR pistons at .25 over and some new rings

yea i would say replace the rings.... duh.. I dont remember oil sittin on top like that when i tore mine apart.... and if you paid 1k i think you got raped... so you could sell it to me for... 5 hundo?!?!
