Need some info on LS/VTEC......
I currently have a B18b in my '92 dx hb. I was wondering which head would be better to build an LS/VTEC motor with and why? I read about building the motor the "RIGHT" way. What is the right way to build an LS/VTEC motor???
thanks

i would go with a b16a1, they're cheap and easy to find. pretty much all of the b16 head's are the same. the differences are so minute i don't think anyone would ever be able to tell. the gsr head would be better though, if you want to dump the money (.2 more c/r). and the right way, in my opinion, is don't skimp on internals. everyone wants to run the **** out of their motors, but rarely put forth the money to make it reliable. while you've got the motor apart spend the money and build the bottom end, pisons, rods, possibly sleeves (really depends on how much power you want to make). and if you do go with the 16a1 head, beaf it up if you've got the money, even gsr cams and valves would be an improvement. i say save your money and rip your motor apart once, not every weekend after you race it.

Thanks,
I can get a GSR head from a buddy for $200 and was thinking of putting in CTR cams. not sure which vavle assembly yet, havent decided. More info would be helpful. I want about 200 whp and want the motor to withstand a little NOS.
thanks for the info
