Ok I bought a 95 coupe with the D16z6 in it (well it was blown). And i did a motor swap to a D16y8 and kept the OBD2 distributor and change the distributor (one on it) plug so it would plug into the OBD1 wiring hardness. Now when i turn on the car it idles at 1500rpms and make a womp womp sound. I was told i have to use the OBD1 distributor not the OBD2? Will that work can i really use OBD1 distributor on a d16y8??
