Will Je 11.5 pistons work with a nonvtec head? These pistons are designed for a vtec head I believe but I was wondering if they would work with a nonvtec head as well.

Yes, but you'll need to consider a few things. First, the "11.5:1" pistons will yield a different compression ration on a LS motor.... all depends on what motor the pistons were originally made for. Next, again depending on what motor the pistons were made for, the rods may or may not need to be pressed or machined to fit. But as for the dome & valve relief, it won't hurt the LS head. If anything, you'll have more clearance with the valve relief since the LS valves don't open as much as the VTEC valves when in VTEC. Also, check the exact bore size of the pistons, making sure they're either std. or something like .025 over.... just a few things to check on.

I've got eagle rods to go along with the pistons and I am sending my b20 to the machine shop tomorrow to get it bored .5 mm over and have the bottom assembly balanced. I was wondering if I could use the nonvtec head(in my original post) untill I can get a vtec head down the road. Thanks for the help!
