i finished my b16 swap in an 88 rex 2 days ago and ran very well (god praise vtec). i filled up with premium gas and now it idles like *** and will only rev to 3500. please enlighten me. i will be eternally grateful.

 

well you should always run premium in your b16. so the fact that you filled up on premium has nothing to do with your problem. but it might be that you go some really **** gas which is possibly causeing detonation...and trippin your knock sensor. if it is really boggy, no power, and no revs... sounds like it COULd maybe be your knock sensor. thats just one of many possibilities. also check spark, fuel delivery, etc...

do you have a CEL on?
