Need HELP Installing a TPS SENSOR??
I'm swapping a TPS sensor to replace the current one because the plug was already broken on the TPS sensor when I got the engine. I'm swapping a B16a non OBD engine into my 89 CRX. I need to know if there is any special way that I have to take the TPS sensor off or to put the new one on? And do I have to adjust the sensor once I have it on the throttle body?
If someone can explain how to install the TPS sensor and adjusting it in any way like (reading for ohm's or resistence) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

use a digital multimeter, after you install it, measure volts at signal wire, it should read 0.5 volt at ignition ON, there are 3 wires, one for negative, one for 5 volts, &
usually the middle is signal wire check w/ connector plugged. Just use needle or pin & backprobe it.

yea take it off with a dremel tool. If ur car is DPI then you will have to flip the wires going to the TPS plug so that your top wire is the 5.0 power source, the middle is the signal, and the bottom is the ground. In any other case with MPI then just leave the TPS wiring alone. Also make sure that it reads 0.5 volts with the throttle closed. At WOT it should read 4.5-5.0 volts.
anyone know wot resistance the tps sensor shoudl be reading before you put it on th TB?
also, are they available as a separate part to the TB? (JDM spec)
