Default No power at shock tower plug on EM1

Ok I'm editing this first post.

I recently installed a Chase Bays CM1 harness into my EM1 with a K20a2 swap and I cannot get power to the ECU now. I am running a brand new Kpro unit on the ECU as well.

The yellow/black that goes to the main relay has no power at the shock tower plug. I tested with a multi meter at the main relay and it has 10.4 v. At the plug it has hardly anything. I have checked fuses and grounds and they all seem to be fine.

Has anyone else had trouble like this? I can take pics of any plugs or anything you need to see to get a better idea if it helps at all.

No one can tell you where those 2 wires go to with out knowin the details on the wiring harness. Your best option is to contact chase bays directly by email or phone.

Don't make us guess. Tell us what you are installing and post the installation instructions.

Sorry my bad. I was pretty F****** frustrated at the time.

I figured out that those are my fuel pump and MIL wires I'm pretty sure. Anyways I have them wired up properly now but have no power to my ECU.

This is in a 00 Civic SiR, I am K swapping. I have a chasebays CM1 going to a PRB ecu and cannot figure out why I am getting no power to my ECU.

Is fuse 44 or 13 blown?

I edited the original post please check above.

Also just checked those fuses and they are all fine.

I hope someone can help me, I don't know the first thing about wiring and really need to get this car running.

Anyone have any ideas?

I have a brand new battery in the car as well, when I tested with a multi meter it was at 12v.

Does anyone know what circuit the yellow/ black wire on the oem shock tower plug runs on and which fuse to check if it is possible it's blown?

Have you tested fuse 44 and 13 for voltage to body ground at both top test tabs?

No I haven't but I will test them as soon as I get home tonight. If there is no voltage there what would be wrong?

Click the test fuses link in my signature. Post the voltage test results and go from there.

OK I cleaned up my grounding positions in the bay down to bare metal to be absolutely certain they are functioning properly then tested everything again and still no power to the ECU. I ordered a brand new main relay from honda and hopefully it will be here tomorrow.

I tested fuses 44 and 13, both came up with 11.34v .

Tested the main relay with the yellow/black wire to ground and it came up 10.26v.

Your battery is dead and do you mean Yel/Blk wire?

You main relay seems fine.

Do the fuel injectors and IACV get battery voltage?

I can turn the motor over though, How can the battery be dead?
Yeah sorry I mean yel/black wire .
Where do I test the injectors and iacv?

A fully charged battery should have about 12.5V. Either your battery is low, or your voltage measurements are off. What voltage do you read across the two battery posts?

Unplug the injectors and IACV, turn the key to ON(II), and then measure voltage to body ground at the Yel/Blk wire in the connector.

with the battery connected I get 11.95v with the posts disconnected I get 12.11v.

I checked the injectors and IACV but I am not sure I am testing them right. which wire do I test and do I test the power wire to a body ground or power wire to the next wire on the plug. If I tested them the right way I think I am getting 1.22v to each plug and the IACV.

These are the colors on my IACV

What ECU and wire harness are used for the K20 in your EM1?

By the looks of it, I would assume the Red wire provides voltage from the main relay.

Now I don't know what the Yel/Blk wire is. The same Yel/Blk wire should provide voltage to the fuel injectors, IACV, and ECU. So if only the ECU does not get voltage, then the branch of the Yel/Blk wire running to the ECU is broken or disconnected.

I have a PRB-A05 ECU

I'm not sure which harness was used when Chase Bays made mine.

When I tested the red wire on the injectors to a chassis ground it read 1.22v on the multi meter. Same goes for the red wire on the IACV.

It's safe to assume that the Red wire is equivalent to the Yel/Blk wire.

Do you have two main relays? If so, do the wire colors match with the diagram below?

Is it ECU IGP1 and IGP2 that don't get voltage?

I could only see the one relay on the passenger side. If there is another, would it be on the drivers side ?

I'm not good at reading those diagrams but which wires will IGP1, IGP2 be and are they on the ecu A connector?

Yes, ECU connector A.

This is a 5th and 6th generation Civic forum. The diagrams I posted came from the 02-03 Civic Si service manual. As you have a 7th generation ECU, maybe I should move your thread to the Hybrid forum, where there may be a better chance for your questions to be answered. What do you think?

I'm not sure, is there any way to make a duplicate thread in the hybrid forums? I'm not sure if I am having an OEM wiring problem or if this is related to my Chasebays harness.

I can copy your thread to the Hybrid forum.

The issue is that your wire harness and ECU are like those from a 7th generation Civic but this is a 5th/6th generation Civic forum.

This yel/blk wire OEM side has no power at all. There is power at the main relay but no power at the shock tower plug.

This is the OEM side of the shock tower plug. Yes the yel/blk wire is cut and twisted right now and that is not the cause of the power issue. I will explain that after.

This red wire on the OEM side is not pinned on the chase bays side of the shock tower plug. He explained to me that this wire is of no use.....? So me and a friend cut the OEM side of the wire and ran it to the yel/blk which gave us power to the ECU. However I don't think it gave me power to any of the sensors or injectors etc.. I have put the connections back to normal and everything is as is before, no power to the ECU.

Yeah, this looks kind of shotty but it was for testing purposes. Once I figure this out I will fix up the wiring, solder and heat shrink properly.

Here is the Chasebays shock tower plug on the conversion side. Beside the large white wire is where the Red wire on the OEM side should be pinned to something. If that makes sense.

Also on the converison plug on the Chasebays harness there is a white/blue wire that isn't pinned to anything on the corresponding side. Would this matter?

beside the red wire is where the white/blue wire would be pinned to something.

I am going to put a new main relay in tonight as well as a fully charged batter and see if it makes a difference. I really need to get this issue resolved and get my car running. If anyone has any other trouble shooting ideas PLEASE let me know.
