need advice!
i have a 92 dx hatch. my motor is burning oil and isnt cutting my need to go fast. Im short on money since im in college. Im thinkin about doin the d15b jdm sohc vtec motor. i replaced my tranny alittle while ago so i wanna keep it so im tryin to stay d-series. i was wondering if anybody had did this swap or knows anything about it. i can get the motor for 500 so i think it would be worth it. also i can get the d16z6 for 650, do u think there is any advantage of gettin that instead of the d15b vtec. they both have the same power i think the d15b has more. give me any info u can thanks alot.
the usdm sohc vtec d16z6 is like a 100 bucks more. when u say ls u mean eg with an ls or an ls integra with bolt ons

I looked into those motors before going crazy (B18c5) there really nice. Check to make sure its not the older intake system set-up although you can swap your current intake in place of it.
You will want a p28 or equivalant ECU in either motor (for the v-tec). I think the d16z6 has a little more torque. BTW I will have an extra D16z6 available by the first of April. Could probably send you a vid of the motor running in and out of the car.
Either engine is pretty nice.
