Let me know what year/model car you have and what year/model ECU and motor you are running and I can tell you how to hook it up.

Well the GS-R has a piece o crap intake manifold called Dual Stage. Basically you are riding around on the longer runners of the intake manifold untill you hit 4500 and vtec activates and then at 5500 your secondaries open up and now the air is rushing in the shorter runners of the intake manifold. Its really a piece o **** design

this may soud ignorant. but i have an h22 same design as the gsr. and my secondaries werent' hooked up so i hooked them up and the low end torque seemed to increase which is a good thing in our 4 cyl cars.
just my .02

ps what do you neen i can tell you were the wires need to go and the vacume hoess. that shoudl get you started unless you already have that schnapp

you`ll need the

IAB Vaccum tank

IAB Solenoid

IAB Check valve

and a good say 3ft of vaccum line should be plenty

It appears from the pictures that a) the secondary intake runners are the shorter ones and b) the butterflies default to open without some sort ofcontrol. This would explain why you gained torque (and probably some fuel efficiency) when you hooked them up. There is a similar setup in the SVT vehicles from ford to help give good torque and fuel efficiency down low and under partial throttle conditions, but still give good power up high at WOT. so, in conclusion, GRS intake manifold != ****, you just dont appreciate its brilliance (this is of course an opinion, you are entitled to your own)

I've had my swap for a while now and I still haven't gotten around to hooking up my secondaries. I want to so bad since I could use all the torque I can get. A lot of people will say screw the secondaries and get a skunk2. I don't have the cash right now for a s2. I have a 00 B18C1 in a 93 hatch running a 95 GSR ecu. I know that you have to reverse the polarity. I see a blk/ylw and a red/blu wire coming out of the canister under the manifold. What do I do now?

In your case Guardson3R3 you need to cut the black wire coming from the IAB plug and give it a 12V switched source. You can get this from the yel/blk wire at the injectors or at the IACV or even the EVAP purge solenoid.

You will also need to move A20 to A17.

If you need any more help email me.

Good luck.
