Did you cut the hood webbing at all? I cut my hood webbing near the timing belt and also the VC, and its not an issue.

Nice work on the valve cover btw. I plan to cut and modify a stock one. I think if I cut the intake side and remove about 1/2" and weld it back on the hood will shut. Of course its easier with a jdm or jdm style hood

no if you got a ef it deff. need to cutt down the intake side also i took 2.5 inches off the exh. side including the oil cap & yes i think if i had a sir or even a zc hood it would be alot better. BUT i have a carbin usdm hood not wanting to spend the money for a another hood.

if i take off my oil cap the hood only needs to be spaced at most a 1/4" and thats with my jdm hood.the only issue with it is the intake side of the vc. if you had a jdm or jdm style hood the vc wouldnt need to be so drastic. but it doesnt look bad though. i actually like it!

Yikes!!

It's always a good idea to avoid sharp 90deg edges when modifying the unibody. The metal should also be layered and tacked in a similar fashion to OEM. butt welding is not enough!

If anyone is interested I can take a picture of how I did mine THE SECOND TIME around (after almost having to scrap the car due to cracks) however I suggest NOT [freak]ing with the unibody unless you absolutely have to.

Crazy!

Na beast did you delete the balancer shaft belt? The crank pulley slides in a half an inch! That's what I did and a sledge hammer worked great. I can't remember if you did it or not.

Also, my crank pulley is really close to the frame rail too

yes vtecnician i did move it in a half inch BUT i only had a hammer & then said hmm grind the metel down a lil get it to clear now im scared if i go buy a sledge it will just break anyways , soo JUST in case i need a back up plan. This is my fault i should have gotten a sledge instead of trying to hurry threw.

or just put it in & see what happens its tight. I couldnt even change my belt if i had to
