Default My fist time to the track w/the swap.

Boy was I pissed! Went to the track on sunday for test and tune, I wasn't going to race the car because it wasn't tuned and I was still waiting for parts (headers and to install my Hondata). Anyways I said screw it I'm here so mightest well do a base run to see what she's got. As you can see from the pictures it didn't go verry well.

The bolts broke of the tranny

My throttle position sensor hit the back fire wall and broke

The vacuum to the brake master cylinder broke of the intake manni.

And the passenger side motor mount flexed an ripped.

All of this launching at 2,500 rpms.

it looks like HCP mounts but it not the mounts fault(I don't think). If the bolt broke off the tranny it wil obviously cause the motor to move drastically. How the **** did you break the bolts off the tranny?

Would you guys recommend getting the front motor mount brace, the one that HCP sells that connects the front motor mount to the chassi?

This is actually the second time that I'm going to replace the inserts for the mounts. I had a stock drivers side mount and it broke and ended up breaking the rear tranny mount inserts. I bought the new HCP polyurethane mount for the drivers side and now then this happens. I don't know if this is a good thing(having that much tourqe = good horses or motor)But will see once I get it tuned and all the bugs worked out and finally take it to the track.

I think the bottom bolt must have gotten lose and fell out. Then with not having all of the support from the bracket, it just ended snapping the bolt right out of the tranny. Thats the only thing that I can think of that might of caused this.

I think I would have to agree with the bolts coming loose and falling out. I have taken my car to the track for multiple beating lauching from 4500-6000rpm, and have yet to break anything. Theses last few times I took her out was without the front racing brace. BTW your car is gonna vibrate alot more with the racing brace on, but if you wanna beat on it......

DAMN!!! that must of been some major horses you was pushing. How come it never happen'd to me with my h22 turbo eg. I had the same exact mounts too, never had a problem only for the back mount which broke and I just rewelded it. Hope you fixed the problem already. The H series is a bad *** motor but stick with a GsR's. They pump out pretty much the same horses as the H does.

Damn, you runnin a 4-puck or somethin . J/k, but I have seen this before a few times. It was a combination of problems with the mount not being bolted down all the way, and a six puck, while launching on slicks. Best of luck with everything. Sorry to hear about what happened.

Good luck just finding a tranny housing.... It will prolly be easer... but will cost arround $800 for the Full tranny.... and well it NEVER hurts to have another tranny!
OR if you have all teh tranny housing peices you might be able to find someone that will be willing to re-weld them back on?

I wish I could do that but if you look at the trans you'll see that where the bolt bolts into, that portion broke off.

from that problem, i have seen people taking it to a welder, and have the machine shop predrill new holes, that can be the best option other then having to buy another tranny,

When I took of the line is when I realiazed that something had gone wrong, because it popped out of first gear and I had to jam it back in first and gave it all she had.

Reaction time: 1.035
60ft: 3.203
1/4: 16.7
mph: 94.2

Thats what I can remember I really wasn't concerned about my time
