motor swaps (what to do)
ok im a longtime reader first time poster.
right now i own a 96 civic coupe
mods.
greddy kit
f/m intercooler
hks bov
hks filter
hks super dragger
msd sci & blaster2
vafc
all ths is on the stock(d16y5) motor with 110,000 miles
the motor runs great, but its time for
new axels
timing belt
clutch
and so on
SO im most likely going to sell everything and do a motor swap.
why u ask?
we have no place to drag race, i want something more reliable.
anyways. this is what im looking at.
b16a2 or b16b
now if i get the b16b im just going to drop it into the car as is.
but if i get the b16a2 im going to use the extra money to buy
str intakemanifold and throttlebody
i'll port match it before i put it in
aem v2
aftermarket header
and a thinner head gasket.
do you think the b16a2 would make for a good setup?
or will the stock b16b still be a better setup?
if you have anyother suggestions feel free to express them
but id like if you can back them up with facts not just he said she said info
but any info will be great.
thanks

Best thing to do......search.
CTR engines are expensive. For the money spent, u could buy a gsr swap and mods that would give you more power, hence why not many people have them.

Re: (granada_sun)
yea but i dont drag race anymore
i dont think ill need the whole whopping 13 lbs of tq
i just want something sporty
wont a b16 be more rev happy?
if i was worried about my 1/4 times id stick with my turbo sohc and keep putting down flat 14's allday.
