yea, i was curious to know if there was anyway you could check the mileage on the jdm engines when they're sent to you? thanks for the help.

 

Well i was talking to a shop out in cali and he told me that engines that are shippied over to the states should have between 30,000 and 60,00 because if a jdm engine has over a certain amounts of miles they pay extra money or something like that i don't know how true this is maybe someone else knows more on this....

 

honestly, it could be any amount of mileage you can imagine.

you have to remember, just because MOST engine come over with anywhere from 30-60k dosent mean all will.

my RB has 82,000 miles on it. at first i was pissed. but after tearing into it a little i realize how well it was cared for. so im happy about the mileage.

 

right, thanks guys, i knew that they came over with that many miles on them, but i was wondering if there was some kind of test you could do on the engine to see how many miles were actually on it, ya know? that way i knew for sure, how many miles were on my engine, thanks again.

 

I dont think there are any tests to determine mileage, but there are tests to determine the condition of the motor.
