Default LSD INSTALLED? SPEEDO GEAR?

I had a quaife LSD installed a few weeks back...after everything was done and installed..i realized my car went into limp mode ...then the shop realized they didn't install the speedo gear onto the quaife ...so here are my questions..

1. The speedo gear is that little gear that sits under the bearing right?
2. How do you get it off?

I have heard some people say that it is pressed on...other people say that you have to heat it up till it loosens up enough to come off and you have to get it on the quiafe before it gets cold? can someone who has done this already please explain...i've been stuck with this problem for awhile now...my ecu cuts me off at 6500RPM still have vtec at least..heh...but just not the same...you all know how that is...so PLEASE GIVE ME INFO ON THIS!!! THANKS!!
