I highly recommend the helms. It's easily the best 60 bucks I've blown on my ride. It'll tell you everything you need to know. I also highly encourage you to try this yourself. I had a shop do mine ('cause I was lazy) and ended up having to crack the casing open cause they used the wrong sealant. Use the Permatex ultra grey.

While the case is open shift through the gears and you'll get a very good understanding on how the tranny works and all the talk about short shifters ruining trannies is bunk.

Also it helps to have another set of hands around when putting the case back over the gears. The set ring which keeps the casing "on" is a major PITA. And for some strange reason the case would only drop on when the tranny was in 3 gear. This also happened to Type-C.

i went to hybrid honda and found article on installing the JDM final drive. well its the exact same process and throwing in a LSD. i agree with the other guys though. if ur halfway handy with some sockets do it urself. i never even seen the inside of a tranny b4 when i did mine. what a piece of cake. the only thing i didnt do was press on the bearings, i had the tranny shop do that. cost me a whole whoppin $20. as far as sealant, my honda service manual says that u dont need it, i would highly disagree. i used permatex gray also. go find that article, its step by step in words. pretty easy. good luck. 1 more thing. y not just buy a ITR tranny???? a b16 or GSR tranny will cost 600 or so and then the LSD will cost another 800+. just buy a ITR tranny for 1200 or so.
