im really suprised to see that nobody has mentioned the use of the 84mm cast piston. last i knew it was made by/for rs machines and its like an itr replica only 84mm form. dont know the exact compression but i know its more than 11 but less than 12. i have a set that i bought years agon that im just now getting around to use. prostreetimport in la mirada still carrys this piston if i recall correctly

Depends on what is done to each motor. In short the b20 bottom end would be best. This entire thread tho is old and retarded.

The B20's 84mm bore would unshroud the valves allowing slightly more efficient airflow into the cylinder.

Both are good setup. Yeah, this thread is old. but, will never change. Until, K series so down.. Type R's are still pricey.Am doing my our Ls/vtec. But, thinking of buying A b20 to make a seperate motor.. Time and money.
