Hi everyone, this is my first post so I'll just say a few things. First off I own an s2000 which I plan on owning for as long as humanly possible. I absolutely love it. I'm 16 years old and I like to do my own work on cars. Recently my parents and I bought my brother a 1991 Honda crx. It was in terrible condition, but he's only 15 so we have a little while to get it on the road before he can drive it. It's relatively rust free which is our one and only search criteria for it. It has a horribly done ls vtec swap and it has a few problems. The first thing I want to fix is how the engine is mounted. It's the ghettoest thing I've ever seen in my life, there is half a bolt sticking out with a chain attached to it keeping the engine from moving around too much, the engine mounts are poorly welded in, and the engine sits a bit cockeyed. Anyways, the wiring looks professionally done, so I'm just going to keep that. I would like to buy a b18 mounting kit for the crx that doesn't rattle the entire car like this one does, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks

Wow that is pretty crazy,I've never seen anything like that!! I would recommend pulling out the engine/trans and installing a hasport or avid racing mount kit for a b-series in a crx..

Re: Ls vtec poorly done in crx
The s2000 was pretty messed up when we got it, but it was too good of a deal to turn down. The crx is basically a project car so we don't mind putting money into it but hopefully by the time were done with it it'll be awesome. I'm ordering the hasport kit, as well as a thermostat, new seats, headlights, turn signals, hood latch, trans fluid, piston rings, lug nuts, fuel pump and lines and other misc stuff. I'll keep updating this with our progress. It needs an alignment soooooo bad. It's un drive able at high speed because the steering wheel shakes so much.
