What were the costs [time / money] of putting your engines together and getting all the bugs worked out? [If there were any bugs
]
Anything you learned in the process?
Thanks.

I'm not sure on the prices for a few reasons:
1) I have an account at the local acura dealership, so my prices were discounted 15%
2) On all used parts the shipping was included, so I'm not sure how much some things go for without shipping.
3) I got a good friend to do the work with me/for me for free
(thanks MIDNIGHT)
4) I have no receipts.
Now with this being said, I estimate the MY cost(discounts and all) to be around $3,000. So add $1,000 for install and a little more for other crap + bolt-ons and you can easily end up spending over $5k.
My advice would be to ask a lot of questions, even if you get flamed. Read for a little experience. Be involved with the build-up of your car. And to add to that, try buying every piece that you need when you have the money. It can be hard for some of us money spenders to save up $5,500 for a complete swap, so buying piece by piece allows you to get it perfect.
And with time...if you think it's going to be done in six months, plan on a year - year and a half
