Default ls/vtec

Do you always need to drill new oil lines if you're going to go with the LS bottom and a b16 head? How much work is it really?

drill? no drilling...go to http://www.z10eng.com they have a plug that screws into your oil pump...then http://www.c-speedracing.com...shows you a detailed way of performing it.

they have a plug that screws into your oil pump
are you sure about that?
the only drilling required would be for relocating the dowel pins on the head
as far as vtec oil supply hole(bottom side of head) just tap the hole and put a brass plug in it. if you dont tap the hole deep enough, then you will need to get the head resurfaced. i was able to tap it deep enough to sink the plug below the surface.

I dont know why people on this forum tend to be so closed minded...why would i post something with out first checking it...or better yet using it on my own car. If you would of checked the website...under products you would of seen the plug that opens a new feed for any oil line necessity! check the website its there under products.

a) 2 holes need to be enlarged to relocate the dowel pins.

b) 1 hole needs to be tapped and plugged

c) feed line to the head comes from the back of the block (oil sensor - i think) needs to be tapped and goes into the back of the vtec head (remove plug and connect fittings)
