i know some people will still be able to tell what it is ... theres no way to compleatly hide that its a type r engine im just trying to mask it a little so at the first look it wont be screaming "HEY I"M A TYPE R ENGINE!!" it was just a thought so i figured id throw the question out there....

no it will not fit. just get a dirty *** 1st gen b16a valve cover. i might have a rusty vtec solenoid in trade for yours laying around too. oh, i also have a beat up 1st gen intake manifold for trade for you itr one. i will straight trade but you pay shipping.

yea im taking a guess here arent there some clearance problems or something to do with the head.

As a project, you can take any old b-series VTEC valve cover, strip off all the paint, sand down the letters, and repaint. You'll only fool a couple of people.
There's no hiding the engine code on the block though (doh!).

Count Blah, that valve cover is hot. How did you paint the H and Honda?

Yep thats it....Its a B16a valve cover - stripped all paint off, sanded off the vtec & dohc (aka LS valve cover) , repainted the entire cover with high temp black engine enamel (semi glass) with about 5-6 coats, and then with a smal bit on the air sander sanded down the H and Honda Motor Co back to polished.

I fooled everyone when I ran my B20 motor with a GSR tranny (quicker than a EG hatch with B18C), telling them that it was just a LS swap, even throwing on an older 90 LS valve cover to throw them off a bit. With the tranny codes, you can't really tell by looking at it if it's a GSR or LS tranny, except for the little purge valve that's located on the top of a GSR tranny, but most people don't know what to look for.
As for sanding down a VTEC valve cover (like what Count Blah did), I've seen that before but it works better when you take OFF the spark plug cover.
