Default LS or GSR????

I plan on doing a swap from my stock d16 to either a b18b or a b18c1. I am going to go with tyre r pistons and rods and a b16 head. after all of the work is done does it really make a difference whether I start with a gsr or an ls motor?? I drove an ls vtec and a gsr, both in hatchs and the gsr whipped a lot better. tell me what you think?? If I can spend less money on the ls motor to start and get the same power out of it at the then theres no sense in spending all that money for a gsr. let me know what you think!!

LS Block should give you more torque ...LS Block has more displacement

I think you need to search on some ls vtec setups.

In the long run it's going to cost you more to be done right and then their is reliability issues.

I think you should search into lsvtec and then decide what you want to do.

oo yah whats wrong with the gsr head?

Reliability issues are true if you are going to use stock LS internals ... but he changes them as said he was ... and it is built right and broken in right; he should be ok. I have seen people have reliability issues rebuilding regular GSR and Type R blocks. Oh yea ... i agree ...why not use a GSR head...

Theres nothing wrong with the gsr head but I heard that the b16 head is basically the same as the type r head, better breatheability. You say stay with the gsr head rather than the b16??
