Default ls dizzy on lsvtec

if I cut one of the legs on my ls dizzy and modify it to bolt to a b16 head can it work with vtec?

are the internals of a non vtec dizzy same as vtec dizzy?
can I swap my ls dizzy internals into a b16 dizzy housing?
