looking for some swap tips...
well, i have done some research on here and really found no single answer to my question. bottom line, what swap will be easy for my car...00 CX H/B? i am thinking 99-00 b16a right? still kinda learning about the OBD stuff and thats where i get lost...but it sounds like this motor would be the best. i was thinking about throwing down for a b18c1 but im a little short on cash right now. thanks for any advice...

Re: looking for some swap tips... (2000CX)
since this topic is on swap tips, I need some too.
I'm converting my 1st gen B16 to OBD1, so my question is, what ECU should I go with? I'm looking into a stock ECU that will engage Vtec somewhere between 4k and 5k...any tips on this???

yeah, a 99-00 b16 would be "easy", since it will have the same obd2 setup and any parts needed you will be able to get of an si. but i'd go for a b18c if you have the money.

Re: looking for some swap tips... (96coupe)
i know the c1 is the obvious way to go...but if i do go that route what are some basic things to look out for? tips and or hints would be greatly appreciated. does this motor come in OBDII? i would assume it would have to be at least 98ish right? also, i here that the b16 is a good first motor swap...HAS to be better than my y7?!?!?

97+ gsr's are obd2. some engine shops will let you specify obd1 or obd2. b16 is a good swap, it will be better than the y7, but it won't have as much torque as the b18c.
