Default knocking and burning oil, is this normal?

I heard that that forged pistons make a knocking noise and also burn oil till they heat up is there any truth to either of these?

The knocking you refer to is piston slap. Ususally when then engine is cold. Once the engine warms up the slap goes away. As far as the oil, you shouldnt be burning too much, if any at all. HTH
